HTML character codes: for complete reliability always use the numeric (decimal or hexadecimal) character references. However, most contemporary web browsers also support the entity character references. If you have been using the decimal references 129 through 159 be aware that these character references are invalid. Though they may continue to work in most browsers, they are not part of the W3C Character Reference documentation.
