Drug Abuse

A representational picture of drug and syringe.

Drug abuse isn’t a distant issue– it’s closer than we might think. It can permeate neighbourhoods, workplaces, and school. By recognizing its proximity, we can work toward creating and providing support, and fostering a healthier, drug-free environment for everyone, especially girls.

Girls are disproportionately targeted by drug abuse, often falling victim to societal pressures and exploitation. Factors such as peer influence, unequal physical power contribute to their vulnerability. Addressing this issue requires comprehensive efforts to empower girls, educate them about the risks, and provide support systems to protect them from drug abuse and crime.
