Donald Fagen and Walter Becker are the songwriters and founding members of the band 'Steely Dan'. They met at Bard College, New York in 1967 where they instantly bonded and discovered that they shared a common ground, both musically and for their love of obscure humour and literature. Their music usually includes recondite and/or off-the-wall themes and often features jazz-influenced harmony and chord progressions.
