Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was published in 1865 by the Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The story is about a young girl named Alice that falls through a rabbit hole ending up in magical fantasy land filled with strange creatures such as The Mad Hatter and The Cheshire Cat. The story plays with logic and feeds children’s as well as grownups imagination. The novel is looked upon as one of the best examples of literary nonsense. The story of the girl falling through a magical portal has inspired countless people, and has been made into comics, plays and movies.

There is no knowledge on how many copies of the novel that’s been sold, but the novel has never been out of print. It has been made over hundred edition of the popular children book and it has been translated into over 97 languages.
