Today we’re starting to look at the visual aspects of your projects – the feel and atmosphere, the supporting features for your site’s mission. With your concept in mind, create a moodboard using any tool of your choosing and publish the final image/s to your website’s blog, along a list of phrases that express your planned brand personality.
Taking your design further: to develop the visual identity of your site – check out the ‘Design for web Handbook’: chapter 8: Brand design.
With your moodboard completed, experiment with your post’s layout to include the image itself and the list of phrases to explain what you are trying to express. Take a little time to explore how you can clearly present the image and text together. Publish it and then add a comment here with the link to the post.
Please read my notes on creating good links :)
give & receive feedback
Check on other people’s posts and leave them some feedback notes on their moodboards. Good design never just happens, and never in isolation – so support each other by leaving your thoughts and comments as input to the ongoing work ツ
